Sealed Air
Sealed Air is a global organisation that manufactures a wide range of packaging systems.
It covers food and non-food applications but is best known as the company which invented bubble wrap. Sealed Air has been based in St Neots for more than 40 years and is proud of its reputation as an employer of choice and a company at the forefront of environmental and health and safety issues.
Graham Horlock, European human resources director of Sealed Air, said: "As a packaging company, we are acutely aware of the need to reduce the amount of raw material used in our products while, at the same time, meeting our customers ever increasing demands for quality and efficiency.
"The recent increase in oil prices has made us even more acutely aware of our responsibility to ensure that we reduce the amount of raw materials used and minimise waste."
Sealed Air has a clear strategy that all employees sign on to. "We want to be an exceptional company for our customers, employees and the community," said Mr Horlock, who believes that the company’s involvement in the awards sends a clear and important message: “We have sponsored The Hunts Post Huntingdonshire Business Awards since they started because we see it as a demonstration to both the people of Huntingdonshire and our employees that we are serious about environmental issues and making a difference in the community."
