| Win a Christmas day out by steam thanks to the Railway Touring Company |
Heritage rail tour operator The Railway Touring Company has announced an additional Christmas steam special and the Herts Advertiser has a complementary
pair of premier dining tickets worth £278 to give away in our Sussex Christmas Steam competition.
The Sussex Belle will depart from London Victoria at 10.30 on Tuesday, December 22, for a scenic tour of Kent and the Sussex coast. Steam hauled by ex-Southern Railway Battle of Britain Class locomotive 34067 Tangmere, the lovingly restored vintage 1950s carriages of the Belle will whisk passengers away for a special pre-Christmas treat.

On board our lucky competition winner will enjoy The Railway Touring Company's premier dining service, including Buck's Fizz, morning tea or coffee and Danish pastries, followed later by a four course lunch silver served at their seats.
The Belle will take the scenic rail line to Hastings across ancient Romney Marsh and on through Appledore to the historic town and one time seaport of Rye. Steaming southwards the train will reach the coast at Hastings before heading north through Crowhurst and Battle. Passing through the Mountfield Tunnel and Robertsbridge station on the famous old Kent and East Sussex Light Railway, the Belle will steam back into Victoria at approximately 18.00.
