Welcome to the 2009/10 Archant publication which is dedicated to Histon Football Club.

In this year's edition we celebrate the 10 fantastic years of Steve Fallon's reign, and what an amazing time that has been!

We look back at last season and how close we came to playing at Wembley, missing out on the dream final against Cambridge United and what it would have meant if we had made it into the Football League.

Meet our new signings and join us in wishing our departed players all the best for the new season and get my view on what makes Histon FC a very special place to be.

We bring you an insight into how the collapse of Setanta will affect Histon and just how important the arrival of the new directors is to keeping Histon in a position to compete at the non league's top table.

The Glass World Stadium has improved beyond recognition in the last 10 years but our board of directors have plans to continue its development, and, despite the economic climate, we are working hard to generate the funds which will enable further improvements for all fans to experience.

There has never been a better time to join Histon Football Club as a fan, a volunteer, a sponsor or maybe even a shareholder, and with your support we hope we can once again push the boundaries many believe should exist for a part-time club nestled into a relatively small Cambridgeshire village, onwards and upwards.
