REAL ale enthusiasts flocked to the fifth Sutton beer festival over the weekend, held in the stunning 14th century St Andrew’s church.
There was a vast range of local beers, ciders and wine on offer over the three days, and each evening bands provided the entertainment, from jazz, to rock and pop.
The family event on Saturday afternoon was also a great success, with a bouncy castle and face painting enjoyed by youngsters, and the barbecue was always busy.
Organiser Phil Bambrick said: “We had a really brilliant weekend, and we have had some very positive feedback from visitors who had a thoroughly good time.
“I would like to thank everyone who helped make the festival such a success, including the Ely branch of CAMRA, and church members who staffed the weekend.”
The tempo changed at church on Sunday, when Soham Comrades Band gave a Last Night of the Proms style concert, with plenty of flag waving as the audience enjoyed the playing of rousing favourites including Jerusalem, Pomp and Circumstance, and Rule Britannia.
