Safety campaigner Graham Chappell, who has led the Fenland Road Safety Campaign (Charlotte’s Way), put flowers by the waterway before he went into hospital for a knee operation.

The campaign has offered to pay half of the proposed £11,800 Bedlam Bridge Safety Barrier Scheme, and is currently awaiting the outcome of the joint funding bid recently submitted to Cambridgeshire County Council. The campaign hopes to receive a decision next month.
