Martin Hunt, 56, of Dowthorpe End, Earls Barton and Travis Pratt, 28, of Station Road, Earls Barton, have been charged with wounding with intent and aggravated burglary. Both men have been remanded in custody to appear at Huntingdon Magistrates Court this morning (Monday).

A 47-year-old man from Peterborough has been released on police bail until July 27. A fourth man, a 24-year-old from Wellingborough was arrested this week on suspicion of assault.

The victim of the shooting is from Godmanchester and was believed to have been house-sitting at the property when he was shot.

He was found by a neighbour lying in a pool of blood in the doorway.
