Celebrating the best recruiters and trainers in Cambridgeshire, this was the second year of the Archant Cambridgeshire Recruitment and Training Awards. There was a wider range of awards than for the first year and the impressive nominees came from a wider sphere of expertise.
The awards ceremony was held at The Marriott Hotel in Huntingdon on Thursday, September 18. Finalists and sponsors attending the awards dinner were welcomed by Stuart McCreery, managing director of Archant Herts and Cambs. The evening began with a presentation by the head of judges, Carol Scott, head of member services at of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation.
Hosting the awards was the presenter of ITV's national weather, Becky Mantin who said: “Successful recruitment and training is the lifeblood of any great company and through the recruitment and training awards, we hope to reward those people who are making significant contributions to this process.
“After last year's very successful inaugural Cambridgeshire Recruitment Awards, we meet again to celebrate the best of the best in the recruitment sector, while also introducing new for 2008 the best in the training area.â€
The judges were representatives from the awards sponsors: The Recruitment and Employment Confederation, TriSys Recruitment Software, Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce, 1st Choice Recruitment, The Marshall Group of Companies, Jark, Jobs24.co.uk, the jobs website for Cambridgeshire and Archant Herts and Cambs.
